Robert Hawkes

Robert, a warehouseman, was a sheriff in 1819, elected alderman of Mancroft ward in 1818 and became mayor in 1822. He was a shop boy at Caister who married the boss's (William Jermy's) daughter . He lived and served his Mayoralty in 18, Bethel Street - where he died. |
